CCP Games has announced the latest expansion to EVE Online, the popular science-fiction MMO, at this years EVE Fanfest.
Kronos aims to improve the economic dynamic of the game by adding cost-scale differences, changes to reprocessing, specialized workers and teams, and more.
The expansion brings several new additions to the universe, including three new Mordu’s Legion ships, a mining frigate called the Prospect, and a new customizable in-game store. In addition, heat, transport ships, freighters, pirate faction ships, and drones have been re-balanced, and there are now more customization options for sound and visual effects.
CCP also announced that Kronos will be the start of a new development cycle aimed at delivering more content annually to its users. While CCP has so far restricted itself to 2 major annual expansions, Kronos is intended to debut more prolific content output. CCP has claimed that they will be ramping up to 10 annual expansions.
Kronos will be available on Mac and Windows PC June 3rd for free for all EVE Online players as a free download.
