Forza Horizon 2 will receive its first major expansion tomorrow, Microsoft has announced.
The Storm Island pack adds a new area to the game, situated “off the coast of France and Italy”, complete with extreme weather conditions - hence the name. On top of that, the expansion features 6 new cars, an additional 500 gamerpoints worth of achievements, a new barn to locate, and a new mode. Rampage Mode pits players against “man-made and natural” obstacles, though additional details are sparse at the moment. You can view the trailer for the expansion below, courtesy of IGN.
Here are the new cars included in the pack:
- 1985 MG Metro 6R4 Group B
- 1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR4
- Mini All4 Racing X-Raid
- 2013 Robby Gordon #7 Speed Energy Drink Stadium Super Truck
- Ford Ranger trophy truck
- 1976 Ford Fiesta
Storm Island will cost $19.99, though VIP members can grab it for a discounted price of $9.99.
Maddy Richards reviewed Forza Horizon 2, awarding it 9/10. “As an arcade racing experience and a successful sequel to what was already a fantastic game, Forza Horizon 2 is almost perfect,” he wrote. “I don’t usually consider myself a fan of racing games, but I now consider myself a big Forza Horizon fan.”
