See the only truly remade area in the new Resident Evil HD Remake.

Resident Evil Remake Feature

In Capcom’s latest Resident Evil developer video, Resident Evil HD Remake producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi explains why they didn’t rebuild the entire game.

In the video, Hirabayashi explains: “We wanted recreate the game with the exact same tone with the exact same atmosphere as the original we thought it wouldn’t be appropriate to recreate the entire thing like that. It might come off looking a little different, a little soulless.”

Hirabayashi did show one of the few rooms that they did decide to remake. This small alteration was to improve the light quality and to add extra effects with the flickering of the fire. To see which room was remade and for a bit more detail as to the reasons behind it, watch the video below.

Resident Evil HD Remake (not the official title, which ist still TBC) is due for release on Xbox One, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC sometime early next year.
